MOGADISHU (Sh. M. Network) – Some of drought displaced families in Mogadishu are complaining lack of health care as malnourishment and other curable disorders are the main factor in Somali children deaths. The internally displaced persons, who spoke to Shabelle, live in vulnerable huts made of old cloths and rice sacks. They said what they need after urgent aid food is health care. Some of them indicated that there are outbreaks of watery diarrhea, measles, and malaria as most of the children and women are anguishing from very acute malnourishment conditions. A woman at IDPs camps in Hodan district in Mogadishu said what situation makes much worse that adults and children defecate at one place, pointing out that there are no toilets. And that could make disease spread like a wildfire soon.
