There are no translations available. AFGOYE Al shabaab movement on Monday imposed a ban on slaughtering and selling the meat of domestic animals in Afgoye town, about 30 kilometers south of Mogadishu, the capital of war-decimated horn of Africa nation.
The ban was imposed all kinds of meats, including the camels, cows, goats and sheep, according the meat traders in the town. A trader, how asked for anonymity, told Shabelle Media Network that the ban on meat had immediately have bad impacts on the traders and consumers in the area. He said that Al shabaab told the people of Afgoye the domestic animals were slaughtered after they had died. No comments about the ban were immediately available from the group. |
